Matthew (“Matt”) R. Watson grew up in Simsbury, Connecticut and attended Syracuse University, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and minors in Geography and Sociology. Mr. Watson attended law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law and earned his J.D. in 2014. While in law school, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board and an Articles Editor for the Mississippi Sports Law Review and was published in the Emory International Law Review.
Before joining Richards & Connor, Mr. Watson practiced for six years in Meridian, Mississippi, with Glover, Young, Hammack, Walton & Simmons, where he maintained a wide-ranging general practice which included insurance defense, municipal law, employment law, and real estate. Since joining Richards & Connor, his practice has been focused on insurance defense.
Mr. Watson enjoys spending time with his wife, son and two dogs, traveling, playing golf, and watching soccer and Syracuse sports.
